European Cooperation Days 2018

To honor the European Year of Cultural Heritage (EYCH2018) that was officially launched by the EU Commissioner for Culture, Education and Sport Tibor Navracsis and the Chair of the European Parliament Committee on Culture, Petra Kammerevert last year in Milan, the European cooperation day, has been this year dedicated to the theme:"Painting our future together".

An information session outlining the features and criteria of the fourth call of the Central Baltic Programme took place in Riga on 14 August. There were fifty or more potential applicants in attendance, long-term cooperation partners as well as many new faces, representing the planning regions, municipalities, universities, the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and the Industry and Employers’ Confederation of Latvia.

How do you grow digital presence and increase engagement with different stakeholders? How do you remain relevant and communicate results? These questions, as well as tips and tricks on how to improve project communication were the center of attention when 11 representatives from 8 Central Baltic projects participated in a network meeting arranged in Stockholm by the Swedish Contact Points.

For the European Cooperation Day, we hosted a photo competition, for which we asked our great projects to submit entries into five categories. Submissions were combined into photo posters that were displayed during our ECD celebrations and the coupled Annual Event. Paricipants voted for their favorite photos.
