Open call for youth
We’re excited to announce that applications are open – we are now on the lookout for the first cohort of participants for Social Business Academy.
Social Business Academy is a cross-border training initiative involving young people in Latvia and Finland and inspiring them to become social entrepreneurs. At the heart of this initiative is the belief that social entrepreneurship serves as a powerful tool for promoting self-development and self-sufficiency, as well as generating a substantial, positive social impact.
The program consists of:
🎯 1-Month Bootcamp, consisting of 2 days of offline entrepreneurship simulation activities and online classes a few times a week.
🌟 2-Day Leadership Camp in Latvia, where the participants will connect, collaborate, and refine their newfound skills alongside fellow aspiring changemakers from Latvia and Finland.
🌐 Optional Innovation LAB & Cross-Border Network. After completing the core mandatory training, the participants will have access to 1:1 mentorship and a cross-border online network to work in more depth on their ideas for social entrepreneurship.
The participants must be:
- 18-25 years old;
- Residing in Latvia (Kurzeme, Rīga, Pierīga, Vidzeme or Zemgale) or Finland (Etelä-Karjala, Helsinki-Uusimaa, Kanta-Häme, Kymenlaakso, Pirkanmaa, Päijät-Häme, Satakunta, Varsinais-Suomi, Ahvenanmaa).
And fit at least one of these criteria:
- Live outside of the capital (Rīga/Helsinki);
- Unemployed and not in education or training;
- From a migrant/refugee background.
The first cycle of the program will take place from February to May 2024.
