ESTRADI kick-off was held in Helsinki!

August marked the launch of the ESTRADI project. The partners met on August 26th, in Helsinki and online, to elaborate on the planning for the first phase of the project.
ESTRADI will employ pilots aiming to address releases of key hazardous chemicals from industrial products. On focus will be selected groups of chemicals which have been identified as major pollutants in the Baltic Sea. And more specifically, their widespread (e.g. professional, consumer) uses as part of industrial products.
In the first phase, foreseen activities include information collection and analysis, experience exchange, and workshops with stakeholders. These will help collate national circumstances and experiences (challenges or developments) in the Central Baltic region. The idea is to use such information to help optimize the design of pilot cases, which will run at the project’s second phase.
