The Joint Secretariat Eases into Summer

Summer has arrived, and the Joint Secretariat team is gradually moving into holiday mode.

Many of our staff will be taking time off during July, with some extending their holidays into August. During this period, our services will continue, but response times may be a little slower than usual. We appreciate your understanding as our team takes time to rest and recharge.

If you’re looking for ideas on how to make the most of the season, we recommend exploring the Central Baltic region. You’ll find plenty of inspiration and travel tips in our latest feature below.

The Central Baltic region is a wonderful place to explore in the summer. With beautiful archipelagos, peaceful forests and a rich cultural history, there is something here for everyone.

From the island-dotted coastlines of Finland and Sweden to the medieval old towns and national parks of Estonia and Latvia, the region rewards both the curious traveller and those simply seeking a slower pace. Spend a day hopping between archipelago islands by ferry, wander through a UNESCO-listed old town, cycle a coastal trail, or lose yourself in a quiet forest in search of berries and birdsong. Long, light-filled summer evenings leave plenty of time to enjoy it all.

Wherever you go, take the chance to slow down, soak up the surroundings and discover what makes this corner of Europe so special.
