The Investment and Development Agency of Latvia, in cooperation with the Nordic Tourism Collective, invites you to join us in Riga, Latvia,
on 4th October 2023, for The Baltic Sea Region Tourism Business Forum and Workshop. This is a dedicated event to encourage tourism
to and from all countries surrounding the Baltic Sea. Suppliers will attend from Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, Finland and
Sweden and buyers will come from the very same countries as well as from other major European markets. Enjoy both conference sessions
and an afternoon workshop to network with suppliers from across the Baltic Sea region.

  • The Forum will focus on tourism trends and developments, with an overview of the potential that the region has to offer and how it can compete on a global stage to accomplish success in achieving safe and sustainable growth in the coming years.
  • Within a framework of “Sustainability and innovation in the tourism sector as the driving force for Baltic Sea Regional growth”, the workshop will bring together tourism suppliers and buyers from across the Baltic Sea Region to meet and further advance co-operation.
  • The Baltic Sea Region Tourism Business Forum and Workshop will feature keynote speakers and panel discussions with internationally recognised experts in the fields of sustainability and future technologies.

Forum discussion topics:

Session 1: “A sustainable future for the Baltic Sea Region” – We consider the importance of sustainability in the Baltic Sea region and how sustainable tourism can be successfully developed by businesses and institutions of all sizes

Session 2: “Innovation and technological developments for Baltic Sea regional tourism growth” – We look at innovative new approaches to the development of tourism in the Baltic Sea region and how technology can be a key to the success in enhancing the competitiveness of the sector.
