On 19.03.2026 was HeritageHunters&Business country meetup in Estonia in Põltsamaa. Participants from Avinurme region visited Põltsamaa, at Põltsamaa Castle. The study day took place within the framework of the international training program HeritageHunters&Business.

The topics were: mentor meeting of the HeritageHunters&Business program; the connection of the company with heritage culture; financing options, the basics of financial management; product development, branding and marketing. The study day began with product development and marketing topics, which were explained through the stories of practical entrepreneurs. First, there was a meeting with Triin Kuus, the manager of LeivaPuu OÜ, who told the story of her company and product development, shared ideas for product development and offered to taste her product, artisan bread. Then, our program mentor and circular economy module leader Katre Arula continued the topic, opening the topics of marketing, branding and product development. At Katre Arula’s Masterclass, we got a comprehensive picture of the development of an entrepreneur and a company, from the business idea to the creation, development and marketing of a sustainable product. After lunch, group discussions took place, where the students introduced the current status of their business ideas and visions for their future activities.

Mentors Katre Arula and Ederi Ojasoo from the Peipsi Cooperation Center helped develop business ideas and find new directions. We ended the day with the basics of financial management. Ave Matsin from the Viljandi Cultural Academy explained where and how to find funding for our idea.
