First partner meeting in “CLEAN Beach” project

Latvian Institute of Aquatic Ecology (LHEI) is launching Interreg Central Baltic Sea Region Programme project “CLEAN Beach” as a lead partner together with Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE) and Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech). The project aims to improve microplastic monitoring on public beaches, making it more efficient and adaptable to different regions and beach types. During the project partners in Latvia, Finland and Estonia will carry out awareness raising activities to inform about beach litter and how to reduce it.

In the beginning of March 2025 representatives of LHEI, SYKE and TalTech met in Tallinn, Estonia to create a work plan and start the first activities. We look forward to working together after a productive kick-off meeting!
