Farmers from Estonia and Latvia learned from best experiences of Finnish breeding sector

In 01.-03.08.2023 the animal breeders from Estonian and Latvian dairy and beef sectors visited Satakunta and Varsinais-Suomi regions and learned the best experiences of Finnish farmers and breeding organisations. Participants learned the activities of Finnish Animal Breeding Association (FABA) and research projects of HKScan, Valio and Natural Resources Institute Finland (LUKE). The group visited also dairy, beef and sheep farms. The aim of the visit was to discuss the best solutions and next steps for cooperation between the breeding sectors of 3 countries in organising export of breeding materials, know-how and animals to new markets. At the end of this year the export companies, farmers and BreedExpo2 project partners participate together in agricultural exhibition in Uzbekistan.
