Sustainable Flow Digital Tool Developer Has Been Chosen

Nine bids were received in the tender for the digital tool to be developed in the Sustainable Flow project, with over 100 files and a total of over 90 megabytes of material to be evaluated and compared. Now, after extensive preparations, we can finally move forward with the development of the application.

Altogether nine international service providers took part in the public tendering of the digital tool. After a thorough review, the tendering was won by Awake.AI which received the best ranking points in the quality-price ratio.

– We are more than happy that based on the decision we can finally move towards the actual development, states Heikki Koivisto, Lead Project Manager from Satakunta University of Applied Sciences.

Submitting the offers was a time-consuming effort, but so was setting up the stage for the tendering and the review process.

– After the opening of the tendering in June 2024, there were 51 downloads of our bidding material and bidders were able to ask further questions through the Cloudia tendering portal. We got over 50 additional inquiries, Koivisto continues.

Koivisto gives thanks to both the bidders and the Sustainable Flow team.

– The competition was tough, and I believe the best was selected. I am also grateful to have such a knowledgeable team. Without their effort we would not now be celebrating the winner.

The application, which is being developed for monitoring carbon dioxide emissions, is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2025. The Sustainable Flow project’s seven pilot ports in Finland, Sweden, Estonia and Latvia are involved in its development.
