Concrete steps toward project outputs: first piloting event

The CoMe Stronger project is funded by the European Union’s Central Baltic Programme. The project is part of a section of the Programme with the objective to produce improved public services and solutions for the citizens. The Programme’s outputs are jointly developed solutions, and in the case of CoMe Stronger, these outputs are six new museum service products that are suited to the needs of elderly men. These service products and guidelines for them are being developed collaboratively by Turku University of Applied Sciences and the University of Tartu, together with partner museums. Clear and practical descriptions will ensure that these products can be easily adopted and implemented by museums beyond the project’s timeline. At the end of the project, all products and guidelines will be publicly available for any museum or organization looking to improve services for elderly men.

A central part of the development process has been the involvement of user panels made up of elderly men. These panels have been active across all partner museums and have played a key role, alongside other project activities such as workshops, in shaping the new service products. Now, the first service product pilot is ready for launch! On Saturday, May 17, 2025, the Mynämäki Museum will host the pilot of a new service product titled “To the Museum with Grandpa”. This interactive pilot includes discussion-inspiring activities in the museum and an activity booklet, all developed in direct response to feedback from the target group.

The event is open to everyone — see the image below for more details. Welcome to join us and be part of shaping the future of inclusive museum experiences!
