Workshop in Jūrmala “Underwater Cultural Landscapes: Current Problems and Approaches to Effective Management”

On 27 March, the National Heritage Board of Latvia will organise a workshop “Underwater Cultural Landscapes: Current Problems and Approaches to Effective Management” at the Jūrmala Museum. Participants will be introduced to the concept of underwater cultural landscapes and to the current results of the UCL-Baltic project.

Following a series of presentations by maritime biologists, spatial planners, and cultural heritage experts, participants will engage in a discussion on the most effective ways to define and manage underwater cultural landscapes. The workshop will also provide an opportunity for participants to share their concerns and experiences related to these management challenges.

A key component of the workshop will be the testing of the Underwater Cultural Landscape Assessment Form.
