CargoRes Stakeholder Webinar
📍 Microsoft Teams
🗓 Thursday, 7 May 2026
🕐 13:00–15:15 (EEST)
Target audience:
Ports, shipping companies, port operators, waste management companies operating in ports, shippers, dry bulk cargo suppliers, authorities (e.g. those responsible for maritime-related environmental permits and the development of permit and monitoring processes), policy makers, and researchers with an interest in the topic – especially in the project countries Finland, Estonia and Latvia.
What is it about?
CargoRes is a three-year EU-funded project (2025–2028) under the Interreg Central Baltic Programme. The project aims to co-develop, together with stakeholders, sustainable solutions for managing pollution‑prone dry bulk cargo residues during cargo operations in ports and on board ships.
The change and impact we seek to achieve through CargoRes can only be realised through informed actions by you—our stakeholders operating across the port ecosystem and the wider supply chain—as well as by authorities and advocacy organisations shaping the national and international regulatory and operational framework for maritime logistics.
To maximise the project’s knowledge-building potential and overall impact, we warmly invite you to take an active role in the upcoming project activities over the next two years.
Why participate?
This event marks the starting point for stakeholder engagement within the CargoRes project—providing an opportunity to align expectations, share perspectives, and identify priority areas for collaboration.
During the webinar:
- We will present the project’s objectives from an impact perspective and discuss how our activities, together with your expertise, can create added value for the maritime logistics community and the environment
- We will introduce you to, among others, the planned environmental due diligence work and subsequent pilots
- We will introduce the project’s participatory model, the CargoRes Advisory Network, and invite you to join it.
By participating, you will gain early access to project findings, contribute to shaping project approaches, and collaborate with peer stakeholders across the Baltic Sea region.
