Strengthening International Cooperation at GalMed 2026 in Lviv, Ukraine 

From May 19. – 21. 2026, Finnish companies Atapley, Thermidas, and Quha participated in the GalMed exhibition and conference in Lviv, Ukraine, together with the Estonian company Helikon. The visit highlighted the growing importance of international cooperation in the medical and rehabilitation sectors and created valuable opportunities for companies and healthcare professionals to connect across borders. 

GalMed is one of Ukraine’s leading medical and rehabilitation industry events, bringing together experts, manufacturers, healthcare providers, and organizations from different countries. The event served as an important platform for exchanging knowledge, exploring new technologies, and building partnerships that support the development of rehabilitation and healthcare services. 

During the visit to Lviv, the delegation also had the opportunity to visit two significant rehabilitation centers, Unbroken  Unbroken and Galytsyna Реабілітаційний Центр Галичина у Львові для Військовослужбовців. The meetings provided deeper insight into the rehabilitation needs in Ukraine and opened meaningful discussions about future cooperation, innovation, and support for rehabilitation professionals and patients. 

The participation proved highly beneficial for all companies involved. New international contacts were established, potential cooperation projects were discussed, and the companies strengthened their networks within the Ukrainian healthcare sector. The visit also reinforced the shared commitment to developing modern rehabilitation solutions through cross-border collaboration and long-term partnerships. 

GalMed 2026 demonstrated how international cooperation can create new opportunities, strengthen expertise, and support the continued development of healthcare and rehabilitation services in challenging times.
