Event details

Advisory Network Workshop
📍 Microsoft Teams
🗓 Thursday, 17 September 2026
🕐 13:00–15:00 (EEST)

Target audience:
Ports, shipping companies, port operators, authorities (e.g. those responsible for maritime-related environmental permits and the development of permit and monitoring processes) – especially, but not exclusively in the project countries Finland, Estonia and Latvia.

The workshop has two parts:

  • We begin with a concise yet comprehensive introduction to Environmental Due Diligence process: what it is, how it is applied, for what purposes it is used, and what benefits this type of evaluative tool offers when assessing the environmental compliance of operations in ports, shipping companies, and by port operators. We will also highlight its relevance and possible synergy for regulatory and authority use.
  • The second half of the session is dedicated to presenting the actual tool template. We welcome your reflections, comments, and practice-based insights to further refine the template before the piloting phase begins.

Please note: All participants registering for this event will be added to the Advisory Network if they are not already members.

The CargoRes Advisory Network is a low-threshold collaborative forum that offers port stakeholders and authorities a practical way to engage in the development, evaluation, and roll-out of solutions addressing dry bulk cargo residues. Through the network, we bring together experience, perspectives, and real-world constraints from across the supply chain, ensuring that the project’s outputs are practical, usable, and adaptable to different operational contexts.
