Strengthening SMEEE Support in the United States – LACC Selected as Market Partner

The SMEEE project continues to strengthen its support for internationalization by partnering with the Latvian American Chamber of Commerce (LACC) to support participating SMEs exploring opportunities in the United States, with a particular focus on the Southern California market.

LACC will help participating companies better understand the U.S. business environment, assess market opportunities, build relevant connections, and prepare for successful market entry. The collaboration will combine practical U.S. market guidance with targeted business development and matchmaking activities designed around the needs of participating SMEs.

The Latvian American Chamber of Commerce is a U.S.-based business organization dedicated to strengthening commercial ties between Latvia and the United States. Through its network of business leaders, industry experts, regional representatives, economic development organizations, and other partners across the United States, LACC supports companies seeking to establish and expand transatlantic business relationships.

LACC has extensive experience through business delegations, industry roundtables, educational programs, and targeted introductions to prospective customers, partners, investors, and other relevant stakeholders.

As part of the SMEEE collaboration, LACC will contribute its on-the-ground market knowledge and U.S. network to help participating companies translate their market ambitions into practical next steps. Particular attention will be placed on market readiness, understanding the U.S. business environment, identifying relevant opportunities, and creating meaningful connections with potential partners and customers.

The partnership will result in targeted activities in Southern California in January 2027, giving participating SMEs an opportunity to engage directly with the U.S. market and develop relationships that can support their longer-term international growth.

Through this collaboration, SMEEE and LACC aim to provide participating SMEs with practical knowledge, relevant connections, and a stronger foundation for entering and growing in the U.S. market.
