Tech companies from Sweden, Estonia and Latvia explore the UK market in Cambridge and London

In September, six tech companies and Linköping University travelled to the UK to meet investors, researchers and potential partners in the Golden Triangle.

From 14 to 17 September 2026, six companies from Sweden, Estonia and Latvia, together with Linköping University, spent four days in Cambridge and London. It was the first of the project’s two business delegations to the Golden Triangle.

The participants were:

• AuNano, Sweden: gold nanomaterials for printed electronics
• Bioefekts, Latvia: microbial fertilisers that improve soil health
• HiveNavigator, Estonia: AI-powered insights for beekeepers
• Hydrokapillar Tech, Latvia: energy-efficient heating and cooling systems
• Sgilio, Estonia: a gamified recruitment platform
• Talzy, Latvia: building and running engineering teams in Central and Eastern Europe
• Linköping University, Department of Science and Technology (ITN), Sweden

Three days at Cambridge Tech Week

The week started in Cambridge during Cambridge Tech Week, which brings together founders, investors, researchers and policymakers working with deep tech. At Cambridge Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, the companies introduced themselves and learned how to work with the local innovation ecosystem, with Professor Chris Coleridge as speaker.
The group then joined the Visionary Day and the Startup to Scaleup Day at Cambridge Tech Week, along with networking events and the Tech Leaders’ Dinner. They also visited Expression Edits, a company developing protein therapeutics at Babraham Research Campus.

A morning in London

The last day was spent in London with the Swedish Chamber of Commerce for the UK, at the office of intellectual property firm EIP. The programme covered the business case for the UK, cultural differences in business communication, and how UK investors think. It also included a panel where founders shared their experiences of scaling. London & Partners closed the morning by presenting how they support international companies setting up in London.

What happens next

The companies are now back home with new contacts and follow-up meetings to plan. The project partners will continue supporting them with mentoring and market insight. Later in the project, UK delegations will also visit Sweden, Estonia and Latvia.
