Finnish companies gain practical insights into the Saudi market
What does it take to enter the Saudi Arabian market — and where are the opportunities for Finnish companies? These questions were at the heart of an ICC business session held in Helsinki on 14 September, bringing Finnish companies together with the expert from the Embassy of Finland in Riyadh.
The session featured Nabil Mohamed, Senior Trade Advisor at the Embassy of Finland in Riyadh, who shared practical insights into the rapidly developing Saudi business environment and the wider GCC market. Participants gained first-hand perspectives on market entry, local business practices, potential customers and partners, and the networks available to companies looking to establish or expand their presence in the region.
The discussion also provided an opportunity for companies to raise their own questions and explore potential business opportunities directly with the Embassy. Topics ranged from finding suitable local partners and customers to understanding the practical considerations involved in developing business in Saudi Arabia.
“Saudi Arabia is undergoing an enormous transformation, creating opportunities across a wide range of sectors. For Finnish companies, understanding the local market and building the right networks are key steps towards turning these opportunities into business,” said Nabil Mohamed during the session.
The meeting also marked an important step in strengthening cooperation between the Embassy of Finland in Riyadh and Business Tampere to support Finnish companies exploring the Saudi and GCC markets.
For companies considering Saudi Arabia, already active in the market, or looking for new customers, partners and networks, the ICC project provides opportunities to gain market knowledge, connect with local stakeholders and take concrete steps towards international growth.
