The first decisions made by the Monitoring Committee on the first round of applications

The Monitoring Committee (MC) of the Central Baltic Programme 2021-2027 has made the first decisions on the project applications submitted for the first call.

The MC decided to fund one small project application and selected 36 regular project applications to continue to the second step application phase.

The Monitoring Committee approved the following small project application for funding:

All other submitted project applications have been rejected.

All in all, the Programme received 82 project applications for the first call, of which 2 were small project applications and 80 regular project applications.

Next steps

The approved small project and regular projects which will continue to the second step application phase will be assigned a contact person in the Joint Secretariat (JS) in the days after the MC meeting. The JS will be in contact with the Lead Partner regarding how the process continues (applies to both small and regular projects).

The rejected projects will receive formal administrative decisions explaining the reason for rejection. These will be sent out once the MC minutes have been approved, so realistically after summer. Projects may after this contact the JS to get more information on the rejection and guidance on potential next steps.

The second step application phase for regular projects:
30 June – 3 October (12:00 EEST)

Regular project applications which will continue to the second step application phase must submit their final application in Jems. The Jems is open for filling in the project applications from 30 June to 3 October 2022. The deadline is at 12:00 (EEST*).

*Eastern European Summer Time: 12:00 in Finland (including Åland), Estonia, Latvia and 11:00 in Sweden.

The final decisions are planned to be taken by the Monitoring Committee on 20 December 2022.

An updated Programme Manual is expected soon

The Programme Document has been approved by the European Commission. During the approval process, minor updates were made to Programme Objective or indicator wordings. These updates will be updated to the Programme Manual. The updated document is planned to be ready for publishing in late August.
