Online webinar to share experiences in promoting Roma employment and inclusion
On 21 October, from 14:00 to 15:30 EEST, the HERO project will host the online webinar “Empowerment of Roma – Insights, Experiences and Lessons Learned”, bringing together project partners from Latvia and Finland to share practical experiences and lessons learned in promoting Roma employment, inclusion and participation.
Representatives of Fida International and Valmiera Development Agency will present experiences gained during the implementation of the HERO project, including key achievements and challenges. Particular attention will be given to the development of life skills and labour market skills, as well as practical approaches that can help strengthen Roma pathways to employment.
Speakers will include Sina Urmas and Ilkka Utz from Fida International, Līga Cvetkova and Līga Ignate from Valmiera Development Agency, and Tino Varjola from Life&Light Finland. The webinar will conclude with a Q&A and discussion, providing an opportunity to exchange experiences and perspectives.
We invite representatives of municipalities, NGOs, social and employment services, as well as anyone interested in practical approaches to supporting Roma inclusion and employment, to join the webinar.
Participation is free of charge, but prior registration is required: fida.fi/webinar
