Online Workshop for Metal Detectorists in Finland

Share your experiences and help improve metal-detecting services

The BEFAIR project invites metal detectorists to participate in an online workshop on 6 October 2026 from 16:00 to 17:30 (EET).

The workshop will be held online and conducted in Finnish.

The workshop is part of a broader effort to better understand how users experience official services related to archaeological finds and metal detecting, and to identify opportunities for future development. By taking part, you will hear about the current state of the project and contribute to the planning of more user-friendly and effective metal-detecting services.

Survey for Metal Detectorists

Before the workshop, participants are encouraged to complete the survey for metal detectorists. The results will be presented and discussed during the workshop.  Take the survey in Finnish

The insights gathered through the surveys and workshops will play an important role in developing the project’s key outcome: a strategic action plan that supports the improvement of archaeological finds registration, management, preservation, and information-sharing practices.
