Silverskill Training Day 18: The Importance of the Circular Economy
The next Silverskill training session will take place on Saturday, October 18, 2025, focusing on Green Skills (Module 6) and the principles of the circular economy.
The session will be led by Anna Kaljusaar and Georgi Baikov from TalTech Virumaa College.
Agenda:
- 11.00 – 12.30 The Importance of the Circular Economy – principles of circular economy (R-strategies), comparison of linear and circular models, circular business models and product life cycles, industrial symbiosis, and the waste hierarchy model.
- 12.30 – 13.00 Energy Break – coffee, snacks, and networking.
- 13.00 – 14.30 Workshop: From Wastewater to Reusable Water – a practical session demonstrating how wastewater is treated before returning to nature. Participants will experiment with simple filtration methods and explore how green skills contribute to a cleaner environment and support circular economy principles.
