Stone Wall Restoration Training, EST

Venue: Rõuge municipality, Nogo village, EST. The exact location will be provided to the participants.

Target group: A training course for construction and restoration specialists and career changers aged 50+ heading towards the traditional construction field. The participation costs of the target group are covered by the Central Baltic Sea Programme project Tradition4Transition.

Participation fee: FREE for target group participants.

Description: During the course, a decayed stone wall is dismantled, usable stones are cleaned, new stones are cut, the remaining part is grouted and a new wall is laid. The course gives the participant the courage to undertake stone work independently.

Under the guidance of a master, the following will be learned:
Processing of stone;
Composition and use of mortars;
Cutting and compacting stones;
Placing walls and binding stones;
Filling joints.
