Successful App Launch at the Pilot Sites in Sweden

The SuRuMo project has now launched the digital platform -the Freelway app- at the pilot sites in Sweden – Nykil, Hannäs, and Karlsby – with results beyond expectations! Interest has been strong, and we’ve met curious residents, engaged municipal representatives, and received positive attention from the media.

In Nykil, public transport, carpooling, and travel with the school bus will be included in the app. In Hannäs and Karlsby, carpooling and travel with the school bus will be included.

Number of users so far:

  • Nykil: around 70 people have registered in the app
  • Hannäs: around 60 people
  • Karlsby: around 40 people

Considering that not so many people live in the pilot areas, we are very pleased with the initial outcome. Of course, we will continue working to get even more people to join.

At the launch events, there were treats like Swedish fika, and in Hannäs, even a quiz walk organized by the local store. The reception were very positive.

The journey continues with a webinar where Freelway will present the app’s possibilities and answer questions directly. Soon, we will also send out an evaluation to further refine the delivery.

Together, we are creating smart and sustainable mobility solutions!
