SuRuMo partners gathered in Riga for project meeting and workshop

In May, participants from the SuRuMo project met in Riga for an in-person project partner meeting and a workshop focusing on Activity A2.7, led by RPR.

Activity A2.7 focuses on testing the mobility pilots developed in the project’s different regions. The pilots are being tested through the active involvement of both users and mobility service providers, following the common framework developed earlier in the project. The aim is to collect experiences from the pilots, identify areas for improvement, and ensure continuous knowledge exchange among project partners and stakeholders.

During the workshop, participants discussed how experiences from the ongoing pilots can best be documented and monitored. A common survey has been developed to gather feedback from both users and service providers, with a focus on identifying what works well and what improvements can be made.

On the second day, participants had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of mobility planning in Riga. A visit to the Riga City Council Development Department provided insights into current challenges and future plans related to urban mobility in the city. The visit offered valuable perspectives on how Riga is working with sustainable transport solutions and urban development, providing inspiration for the project’s continued activities.

This was the second cross-border workshop carried out within Activity A2.7, giving project partners the opportunity to share experiences, discuss challenges, and learn from each other’s solutions. The results from the pilot testing will be compiled in a joint document as well as in local reports, where each pilot will describe achievements, challenges, and recommendations for further development.

Through this shared learning process, the project is building a valuable knowledge base that can contribute to the development of more sustainable and user-friendly mobility solutions in regions on both sides of the border.
