About the speaker

Pierre Mårtensson helps B2B technology companies build commercial engines in markets where one wrong hire can cost a year. He is Founder & Managing Partner of The Scale Factory — a Commercial Expansion Platform for B2B tech scaling across APAC and Europe. The Scale Factory doesn’t advise on expansion; they execute it.

Pierre has seen the pattern time and again: a B2B tech company expands into a new region, signs one senior resource, and twelve months later the pipeline is empty, the hire has left, and the board wants to know what happened. Or the commercial team is in place but the system isn’t producing, and nobody can say whether the problem is the people, the playbook, or the market. At The Scale Factory, Pierre and his team build a dedicated revenue engine, localized to the market — a team, a playbook, and a network — typically engaging in new market entry (building from scratch) or revenue engine turnarounds (diagnosing and fixing underperforming teams).

Prior to founding The Scale Factory, Pierre was the first Partner onboard at Antler, the early-stage VC that has invested in more than 2,500 founders globally. Throughout his career, he has a track record of rapidly growing organizations worldwide, as a top executive, investor, and board member.
