What on earth is Zebra ScaleUp?

The free Zebra ScaleUp supports new mission-driven companies facing growth challenges. Our goal is to promote business development through various means. Zebra ScaleUp consists of two programmes that include a joint bootcamp and company-specific coaching. Events are held in Helsinki, Tallinn and online, tailored specifically for new companies wanting to grow their business sustainably.

But what exactly is a Zebra company? A Zebra company combines sustainable development and growth, incorporating not only profitability but also social and environmental impact as essential parts of their business operations. Unlike unicorn startups that emphasise rapid growth, Zebra companies pursue stable, sustainable and long-term value for all stakeholders.

Zebra Scaleup is part of the European Union-funded Interreg Central Baltic programme, which covers Finland as well as Sweden, Estonia and Latvia. The project runs from April 2024 to February 2027, during which the programme will be run twice. Zebra ScaleUp is implemented by Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences and Tehnopol Science and Business Park.
