A meaningful wrap-up to our SocEntYouth project
In late August, we concluded the final event of SocEntYouth — a project that has brought together young people from across Latvia and Finland to explore and engage in social entrepreneurship.
At the final event, we shared key project insights, followed by an interactive LEGO® workshop 🧱 where we explored the systemic changes needed to better support disadvantaged youth across the Central Baltic region. The workshop brought together organisations and professionals working with and for young people — including:
Riga Municipal Social Support Center for Children, Youth, and Families, Youth Policy Department of the Ministry of Education, Ogre Municipality Education Department, Youth Center Nagla, House of Hope Liepāja, Child Protection Centre of Latvia, Latvian Centre for Human Rights, Foundation for an Open Society DOTS, social entrepreneurs, project mentors, and many other amazing partners.

🔹 Key challenges identified:
– Lack of comprehensive and diverse support systems
– Limited accessibility to information
– For NEET youth (Not in Education, Employment, or Training), information alone is not enough — they need consistent mentorship, genuine encouragement, and trusted adults who believe in their potential
The energy, creativity, and commitment in the room were truly tangible!
We are proud to celebrate that through SocEntYouth, 121 young people in Finland and Latvia were trained in social entrepreneurship — empowering the next generation of those reaching for impact.
