From Passion to Profit: A Workshop of Real Talk, Finance Tips & Female Leadership

On June 27, the seventh seminar for cycle 1 participants took place in Riga — and this time, the spotlight was on  customer engagement, and business finances. The event welcomed two very special guests from ATTA Centre — Evgenija Pulke, Director of Sales, and Natalija Misina, Marketing Director.  ATTA Centre is the largest multifunctional event hub in the Baltics — a powerhouse of innovation, hospitality, and high-end experiences.

Natalija kicked things off by diving into the centre’s dynamic marketing strategy. She shared how the team attracts clients via digital platforms and presents ATTA Centre at major international expos and events. Her talk was all about visibility, connection, and smart branding in a competitive global market.

Evgenija followed with a deep dive into the technical capabilities of the venue, its event portfolio, and how its modern Latvian cuisine can wow even the most seasoned event-goers. But her talk wasn’t just about services — it was about personal growth. Evgenija opened up about her educational background, professional path, and the many obstacles and proud moments she encountered on her journey to becoming a leader in one of Latvia’s top event companies.

In her inspirational presentation, Evgenija didn’t shy away from the tough truths of leadership. She emphasized that burnout can happen to anyone — even strong, capable leaders — and that humor, honesty, and regular self-care aren’t luxuries, but necessities. Delegation, she reminded everyone, is a strategic superpower, and mistakes? They’re just stepping stones to growth, as long as we learn from them. She wrapped up by sharing her personal secret to being a great salesperson: a genuine love for people, curiosity, and the ability to listen deeply. The audience — a group of driven young women — was fully engaged, asking questions and soaking up stories from Evgenija’s early days in business, including one hilarious moment from her first big client pitch that had the whole room smiling.

The second part of the seminar shifted gears to tackle an equally important topic: Finance Fundamentals. Project coordinator Natalja Sterhova took the stage to demystify this complex world. She walked participants through the fundamentals of understanding profit and loss, cost calculation, cash flow management, budgeting, and the ever-important discipline of accounting and investment readiness.

What could’ve been a dry subject turned into an energetic, hands-on session filled with real-world examples and collaborative team exercises. Natalja’s interactive approach sparked discussion and helped participants get a grip on the financial backbone of any business.

Though the topic wasn’t easy, it was a crucial eye-opener — a stepping stone toward becoming confident, financially literate entrepreneurs ready to take on the world.
