New Handbook for Chat-Based Support Under Development

Work on the project’s handbook is now in full progress. The handbook will serve as a practical guide for organisations providing chat-based support to children and young people, bringing together knowledge, methods and good practices developed within the project.

During the first phase, partners have focused on mapping needs, gathering experiences from participating organisations and reviewing existing practices. This groundwork will ensure that the handbook responds to real challenges faced by professionals and volunteers working in online support services.

In the coming months, the handbook will address key topics such as ethical guidelines, safeguarding, crisis response procedures and quality standards for chat-based support. Experts and organisations will be consulted to ensure that the handbook reflects practical needs and real-life experiences from the field.

The handbook aims to strengthen cooperation across the Central Baltic region and support organisations in providing safe, accessible and high-quality online help for children and young people.
