INFO DAY in Aloja Introduces New Training Program within the HERO Project

On September 18, an INFO DAY was held in Aloja as part of the HERO project, inviting representatives of the Roma community for conversation and networking. The aim of the meeting was to get to know potential training participants and share information about the new initiative.
The project is launching a training cycle designed to provide opportunities to acquire knowledge in demand on the labor market, as well as useful everyday life skills.
The training will take place in two stages – in autumn 2025 and spring 2026 – at the Aloja Day Centre and the Valmiera Co-creation Workshop DARE. Upon completion of the program, participants will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in companies across Valmiera and Limbaži municipalities, strengthening their newly acquired skills and promoting inclusion in the labor market.
The program will cover topics such as labor market skills and career opportunities, communication and collaboration skills, digital literacy, financial literacy, and other useful everyday skills.
“Our goal is to create an environment where every participant can feel supported, gain confidence in their abilities, and take a secure step towards new challenges and opportunities,” emphasize the project implementers.

This activity was supported as part of HERO, an Interreg Central Baltic Programme 2021-2027 project co-funded by the European Union.
