The Opening Seminar of the Lunch & Learn Project in Võru

The opening seminar of our Lunch & Learn project took place in Võru on 18–19 August 2026. The Võrumaa Development Centre welcomed a four-member delegation from the Municipality of Sigulda, together with project coordinator Frida Höjvall.

In addition to important exchanges of information and discussions concerning the implementation of the project, our guests also had the opportunity to explore Võru County. They visited the newly opened Punamütsikese Kindergarten in Võru, where they learned about the organisation of catering services for the children as well.

During a visit to Setomaa Municipality, the delegation explored the activities of the Obinitsa Community Centre and School, visited a local art gallery, the soon-to-be-opened Produce Valorisation Centre , and Korilase Köök, a farm-based catering business.

Our project is small and short-term, but our cross-border team is determined to do its very best to ensure that the project’s impact will be significant and long-lasting.
