Kick off meeting in sunny Savonlinna

In August, we gathered in Savonlinna, Finland, as part of the GROW – Generating Real Entrepreneurship Opportunities for Youth NEET project, which began in May. The two-day meeting brought together project partners from Tallinn, Mikkeli, Kouvola and Savonlinna.

Over the course of the two days, we got to know one another, planned future activities for both the coming months and next year, and met with representatives of local stakeholders.

The stakeholder meeting was attended by representatives from organisations including 4H, Savonlinna Employment Services, South Savo Wellbeing Services County, and the Toimintakeskus. They provided us with practical tips on how to reach NEET young people and how to strengthen their participation and employability. The discussion was very practical, and we came away with ideas that can be utilised in planning the project’s future operating models and in reaching out to young people.

Over the course of two intensive days, we managed to cover a great deal, but above all, we laid a strong foundation for future collaboration.

This is a great basis on which to build over the next two years!
