From February 16, 2026 till February 17, 2026 Latvia travel representative participated in “Nordic Marketplace 2026” tourism workshop in Copenhagen, organized by the Nordic Tourism Collective agency, in cooperation with the European Tourism Association, to present the New Nordic project and high-end/premium tourism offers for groups and individual tourists to tour operators from the USA and Japan. The event brought together more than 100 tourism industry buyers from Europe, the USA and Asia and provided a unique opportunity to discuss possible cooperation.

In total, more than 20 contacts were established from various tourism companies and associations during the B2B meeting (Kuoni Tumlare, Nordis Travel ApS, Wandering Puffin LLC, HIS-Miki Travel Group, Tauck, Go City, Abiky travels, The Travel Corporation, Alma Mundi, WebBeds Europe, GATE 1 Travel, G2 Travel, Tour Partner Group, Avanti Destinations, Klook, Sovereign Tourism, SX Group, Globus Family of Brands, Delta of Scandinavia).

Key findings from the contact exchanges:

1. Groups appreciate the opportunity to visit as many sightseeing attractions as possible while staying in one place.

2. Several tour operators are interested in offering their clients the most diverse program, as many clients have already been to the Baltic region and want to see more sightseeing attractions.

3. Additional explanation is needed about sightseeing attractions in the partners regions, as many so far have traveled mostly to/from the capital.

4. Certain tourism companies specialize in specific sightseeing offers in the Baltic region, such as visiting manors, spa treatments, developing hiking routes of varying degrees of complexity, etc.

5. Based on the product offers (itinerary) that was provided sent, they could be included in the tour operators’ offers.

6. Closer cooperation between project partners was promoted, creating a common understanding of the project direction, developing tourism product and service offerings 7. It is important to build close cooperation between various service providers, which provides tourists with a more complete experience, while promoting cooperation between local entrepreneurs, not competition
