Meeting with Estonian Steering Committee confirms readiness of WSM learning materials
Work within the Central Baltic Partnership continues, and last week the WSM project team met with members of the Estonian Steering Committee, including representatives of the Estonian Rescue Union and the Police and Border Guard Board.
During the meeting, the team presented the final stage of the water safety learning materials developed for young people aged 14–18, which have been created over the past one and a half years.
The feedback from stakeholders was very positive. The materials were described as clear, well-structured, modern and practical for use with young people. Particular appreciation was expressed for the strong focus on non-formal learning, which makes the learning process more natural, engaging and relevant for youth.
This meeting marked an important step forward both for the WSM project and for the broader development of water safety education in Estonia. The project is now approaching its final stage, and the results will be shared soon.
