PULSE Seeks Developer to Develop a Community Services Web Application
PULSE project team has launched a public procurement procedure to find a developer for a community services web application planned as part of the PULSE project. The application aims to make community services offered by higher education institutions easier to find and access, while supporting institutions in organising and managing these services.
PULSE is a cross-border cooperation project between Tartu Applied Health Sciences University (TARTUH) and the P. Stradiņš Medical College of the University of Latvia. The project involves developing a shared digital solution to support community services. The planned web application will bring together a range of services in one platform, enabling community members to explore available options, find services that meet their needs and make bookings. For higher education institutions, the application will provide a more systematic way to manage, coordinate and promote their services.
“Our college already offers a variety of community services, delivered with contributions from both students and academic staff. We want to develop a solution that brings these opportunities together more effectively and makes them more accessible to the public, while also streamlining the delivery of services for our community,” said Silva-Sille Silgu, Services and Cooperation Coordinator at TARTUH. “Improved access to community services will also help raise health awareness among community members,” she added.
The solution is part of the broader PULSE project objective of strengthening cooperation between higher education institutions in Estonia and Latvia and increasing their contribution to promoting health awareness and well-being in local communities. The web application aims to build a stronger connection between the knowledge, skills and services available at higher education institutions and the community members who need them.
The purpose of the public procurement procedure is to identify a partner to develop and implement the proposed solution. The procurement requirements and further details are available in the Estonian Public Procurement Register.
