Recap: ITS Estonia & ITS Finland at ITS World Congress 2025 – Atlanta

From August 24–28, ITS Estonia and ITS Finland joined forces at the ITS World Congress 2025 in Atlanta, Georgia – one of the world’s largest gatherings of intelligent transportation professionals. The event, themed “Deploying Today, Empowering Tomorrow,” focused on real-world technology deployment to improve safety, reduce congestion, and drive economic growth.

The joint presence of ITS Estonia and ITS Finland was coordinated under the ISMEF (Intelligent Smart Mobility Export Forum) initiative, which aims to promote Nordic-Baltic smart mobility solutions globally. The delegation represented a strong cross-section of public and private sector innovators, showcasing the region’s leadership in sustainable and intelligent transport.

A highlight of the week was the networking breakfast on August 26, hosted at the Georgia World Congress Center. The event showcased most innovative smart city and mobility companies, including:

• City of Tampere (Tampereen kaupunki) was honored with the 2025 ITS World Congress Local Government Award, recognizing its commitment to smart mobility and urban innovation.
• The Estonian delegation was featured on local TV news, highlighting their contributions to the future of intelligent transportation.
