Reflections from the VINCE partner meeting in Norrköping

In the beginning of September, the VINCE team gathered in Norrköping for a productive partner meeting. With the team now well-acquainted, we were able to dive straight into discussions—no lengthy introductions needed.

Understand, explore and implement

In the meeting, a key focus was the ongoing development of the VINCE app. We reviewed results from the user tests carried out in Turku, tested new features in the virtual rooms, and discussed how to improve the user experience. The user tests have confirmed that the virtual rooms give a strong motivation to use the application. While the app is already functional and visually appealing, technical challenges remain—especially around AI translation accuracy. On the other hand, the quality of voice translations has exceeded all expectations.

We also tackled the issue of trusted information sources. Gaps in coverage—especially for job seeking in Finland and migration services in Sweden—highlighted the need for further discussions.

The meeting wasn’t just about troubleshooting. We looked ahead to final seminars in Finland and Sweden, discussed how to attract stakeholders, and brainstormed ideas for blog content and videos.

Perhaps most importantly, we reflected on how far we’ve come. The VINCE app is more than a concept—it’s a working tool with real potential to support integration. As the project nears its final phase, the team is already thinking beyond March 2026. There’s a shared sense that this is just the beginning.
