ReNuW-Hubs boosted sustainability at the “Universs@LU 2026” study festival!
The most ambitious study festival in Latvia “Universs@LU” got this year even bigger than ever – for the first time the festival took place over three days from 19 to 21 February at the Science House of the UL Academic Center in Rīga.
The University of Latvia (UL) offered everyone a chance to explore their study opportunities, to meet UL faculty and students, and to participate in educational and interactive classes, as well as get to know the modern infrastructure of the UL’s Academic Center. During the festival primary, middle and high school teachers, students and their parents learned about the study programs available at the university, participated in activities in the fields of natural, social, humanitarian, medical and health sciences, as well as learned everything about the admission process and student life at UL.
On Friday 20 February the UL team of ReNuW-Hubs project had a mini stand at the study festivals, where they educated students about circular economy issues, and told about the ideas of Interreg funded projects. UL provided also two interactive games related to nature pollution by phosphorous.
This annual festival is a great opportunity for young people to see and learn the university environment from close – it is not just lecture halls and exams, but a community, experiences and a path to a fulfilling professional future!
