Start Smart hackathon winners innovated future-proof solutions
The Start Smart Autumn 2025 training programme has culminated in an exciting showcase of talent, where aspiring entrepreneurs from Finland and Estonia demonstrated how AI tools can be harnessed to build a better future.
Organized by Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, and starring learners from groups coached by Startup Refugees and the Estonian Refugee Council, the hackathon brought together teams to present impactful, forward-looking business solutions. The coaches were impressed by the participants’ creativity, courage, and their ability to leverage artificial intelligence to solve real-world problems.
The winners were awarded travel gift cards provided by the event sponsor, Eckerö Line.
