The Grand Finale: Celebrating Journeys, Insights, and New Beginnings in Riga
What a journey it has been! On October 24, our Region of Opportunities project came to its conclusion with a vibrant final conference in Riga, bringing together participants from both training cycles.
The day began with an engaging teamwork activity guided by our lead content expert Jelena Sterhova, where young women deciphered hidden proverbs in a painting by Pieter Bruegel, one of the great masters of the Northern Renaissance.
“It was so fascinating,” shared one participant, “to see aspects of modern entrepreneurship from such an unexpected angle — and to discover new sides of the people we’ve shared this training course with.”
The conference continued with a retrospective presentation by the project manager, who revisited the highlights of the journey — from inspiring guest speakers and creative workshops to powerful stories of business ideas, challenges, and achievements. The presentation also celebrated the impressive results reached throughout the project.
Then came one of the most heartfelt moments of the day: participants sharing their own stories — what they had learned, how they had grown, whom they had met, and what dreams and plans they now carry forward. Their reflections were both insightful and deeply moving.
A surprise guest, Maksim Vorobyev, participant of the Succeed in Business project, captivated the audience with his entrepreneurial story — one that began when he was just sixteen. Following his talk, invited experts from various fields joined a lively discussion, answering participants’ questions and offering valuable, experience-based advice.
The day concluded with a warm and emotional certificate ceremony, marking both an ending and a new beginning. It was a truly beautiful and memorable finale — a celebration of courage, growth, and connection.
