3 tips from the project applicant seminars

A series of project applicant seminars were held throughout the programme area during the first two weeks of December. The seminars were attended by more than 100 participants from Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Sweden.

The purpose of the seminars was to introduce cross-border cooperation possibilities through the Central Baltic Programme 2021-2027 funding. Our goal was to explain the programme logic and its 7 thematics (we call them 7 Programme Objectives) to the participants who are planning to develop a project idea and submit their project to the next calls for applications.

During the day, the participants had an opportunity to choose among thematic sessions and delve into a topic that interests them: business development, environment improvement, employment opportunities or public services development. The participants actively used an opportunity to consult their project idea with the programme team. Consultations help to shape strong applications with a higher chance of approval.

3 tips from our staff to the applicants:
  • Apply to make a change and to solve relevant challenges not just to get the funding. Know what you would like to achieve and for whom.
  • Ensure that the envisaged project results contribute to the programme results (result indicators).
  • Ensure that the partnership is relevant to the project field and that you can reach the target group.
