Building Bridges: A Cross-Border Entrepreneurship Journey
On November 30th, CulDif held a cross-border session where students from Pori (Finland) and Narva (Estonia) came together. Students in Finland were at SAMK campus, while the students from Estonia joined from VitaTiim house.
The session featured guest speaker Tino Singh, a Finnish entrepreneur with a diverse background. Tino has been a TV star and an entrepreneur for many years, with entrepreneurship running in his family. This made him a great person to talk about starting and running a business.
Before Tino joined, students learned about business planning and worked on making their business ideas more concrete. Tino then shared his journey as an immigrant entrepreneur in Finland, talked about mega trends, the DO-s and DON’T-s of entrepreneurship, and values that shape a business. He also shared his experience at TwoDads Ltd. It was an interactive and inspiring session.
Later, team Narva took over to talk about initial business ideas in mini teams creating, analysing, and formalizing. Students were divided into small teams to brainstorm potential future business ideas, gathering input for the next stages of the project.
The session stayed cross-border until the end, and students gained many valuable lessons for their own journeys. This day also set the stage for future collaboration. On December 12th, students from Finland and Estonia will finally meet face-to-face in Pori for team-building, sharing ideas, and having fun together.
