Breeding and export companies participated successfully in AgroExpo 2025 exhibition in Izmir
On February 4, 2025, one of Europe’s largest agricultural fairs, AgroExpo 2025, was opened in Izmir, Turkey. The fair will feature 600 exhibitors from 95 countries, and the organizers are expecting nearly 150,000 visitors. The BreedExpo2 partners are participating in the fair in cooperation with animal breeding and export companies from Estonia, Latvia and Finland. During the first 3 days, several local dealers have been found who are interested in buying breeding animals, both dairy and beef. There is also a growing demand for breeding material in Turkish market, for which the Animal Breeders Association of Estonia, Sigulda Stock Breeding and AI-Station and Viking Genetics Ltd have compiled bull catalogues and other marketing materials. Already on the first day of the fair, it became clear that there is a high demand for different high-value products for livestock sector, for example milk replacement for calves on the Turkish market. The Central Baltic area is known in Turkey as a region with a clean environment and high-quality food, which our companies could use more actively in developing export opportunities.
AgroExpo 2025 continues in full swing until Saturday, February 8. Project partners and involved companies still have few days to establish new contacts and find new export opportunities in Turkish market.
