Empowering Seniors Through Entrepreneurship: Lessons from the Silver Entrepreneurs Project
As European societies age, it becomes increasingly important to create meaningful opportunities for older adults to remain active and engaged. The Silver Entrepreneurs project addresses this need by empowering individuals aged 60 and over to explore entrepreneurship as a viable and fulfilling path. This article introduces the project’s goals, pedagogical strategies, and the vital role adult educators play in tailoring learning to the needs, motivations, and life experiences of senior learners. We explore how the project fosters confidence, creativity, and connection—laying the foundation for lifelong learning and economic participation well into older age.
