Reference groups from Åland and Sundsvall connect to Riksteatern rehearsal of Åh Dorian!

23 Sept 2026. A critical step in Riksteatern productions, which are intended for rural audiences, is to get feedback from reference groups. Being located in the suburbs of Stockholm has made it difficult for Riksteatern to have their target audience as a reference group.
Using our low-latency technology, Riksteatern connected to rural audiences in Mariehamn, Åland and in Sundsvall, Sweden. These reference groups provided feedback to the creative team of Åh Dorian! about their creative choices; what they liked, what they didn’t, what worked for them. The creative team will use this feedback to modify the production.
The reference group on Åland was formed by NIPÅ and using the ACROSS network will enable them to establish a continuing collaboration between rural audiences and the theater department at Riksteatern.
