Launching the Fourth Round of Calls for Project Proposals with Guidance Materials
We’re excited to announce the opening of the Fourth Round of Calls for Project Proposals on January 9, 2024. This round is special, featuring three distinct calls throughout the year – two for regular projects and one specifically for small projects.
To make the application process straightforward, we’ve provided detailed guidance materials on our website. We strongly recommend potential applicants go through these resources to fully understand the criteria and improve their chances of success.
Programme Manual – your guide to success
The Programme Manual 5.0 has been updated for the fourth round of calls. It is a key document, acting as a roadmap to understanding Programme Objectives and associated result indicators. This resource is essential for both project applicants and implementing projects.
Notable updates include the addition of the programme’s expanded area map, details of the targeted call, and technical clarifications, all conveniently listed in Annex 3 at the end of the document.
What are the first steps?
To get started, we strongly recommend attending our Applicant Support Events to learn more and see if your idea fits the programme.
What are the next steps?
If you are convinced that your idea is suitable, consult your idea with the Joint Secretariat. Then it’s time to build your application. Read the applicable guide for the specific call of interest, whether it’s for a regular project or a small project. This guide will provide you with the necessary information for submitting a high-quality proposal.
Guidance for regular project applications
There are two calls for regular projects, each covering all Programme Objectives but differing in scope. The general call is open to the entire programme area, while the other is targeted for EU external border regions. Regular project proposals follow a two-stage submission process, with the first stage in April and the second in October. Prospective applicants can access the dedicated guide for assistance throughout the application process:
