The majestic Rastrelli Palace in Jelgava – the place of our first meeting

On September 14 2023, the kick-off meeting for the “Women Online” project was held in the main building of the Latvian University of Life Sciences and Technology, the famous palace of the Italian architect Bartolomeo Rastrelli in Jelgava (Latvia). It was attended by representatives of the university and the Estonian NGO Eesti People to People, responsible for implementing the project, members of the Steering group and a representative of the Interreg Central Baltic Programme 2021-2027, which co-finances our digital marketing course for Ukrainian women currently living in Latvia and Estonia.

And the fact that the President of the Republic of Latvia was speaking in a nearby university auditorium at that time gave our meeting a special resonance.
