B2B TECH Forum: Advancing New Technologies Between Central Baltic and Azerbaijan
The B2B TECH Forum on 24th September 2024 in Baku gathered representatives from the Central Baltic region and Azerbaijan to promote international cooperation in technology. Organised by the Caspian Energy Club, the forum aimed to enhance the image of the Central Baltic region within Azerbaijan.
The forum opened with Mrs Liga Sičeva, Head of the EU Project Department at the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who introduced the LEF Network Azerbaijan project. She highlighted collaborative efforts and opportunities for partnerships in Latvia’s tech sector.
Mr Kaarel Rundu, Head of Tallinn City Education Department, followed with insights on the role of educational technology (Edtech) in enhancing public services. He demonstrated how Edtech equips local and regional authorities to provide diverse services to citizens.
Adding a creative perspective, Mr Santeri Ojala, Co-Founder and CG Supervisor at Energia VFX, showcased Finland’s digital visual effects sector. His presentation highlighted Finland’s role in merging technology with the arts, contributing to the broader tech scene.
Mr Ziniddin Babayev, Senior Project Manager at Azerbaijan’s State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations, shared a comprehensive view of Azerbaijan’s tech sector. He discussed how Azerbaijan is leveraging technology to enhance public services and expand its digital infrastructure.
Together, these speakers showcased diverse tech innovations in Latvia, Estonia, Finland, and Azerbaijan, emphasising the potential for cross-border partnerships. After the presentations, a pitching session allowed companies from Latvia, Estonia, and Finland to introduce their offerings to an audience of senior management and industry leaders.
The day concluded with a B2B meeting session, where 13 companies from the Central Baltic region held pre-arranged meetings with potential Azerbaijani partners, facilitated by the Caspian Energy Club.
The forum successfully fostered connections and collaboration potential between the Central Baltic and Azerbaijan tech sectors.
