BreedExpo2 team visited Uzbekistan

In 17.-23.of November 2024 project BreedExpo2 team members together with export/breeding companies and farmers from Estonia, Latvia and Finland took part in contact visit to Uzbekistan. The group had useful meetings with local buyers, dealers and farmers, where the new deals and future sales opportunities were discussed. In the high-level meeting with representatives of the State Committee of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry of Uzbekistan the solutions for issuing export certificates for breeding materials were discussed. The group visited also the state owned Xalq Bank, which is providing financial instruments for Uzbekistan farmers for buying cattle and breeding material from our countries. During the visits to dairy and sheep farms in Samarkand and Bukhara regions the group members provided consultations to local farmers and discussed about the main topics, which should be included to the training programme of Uzbekistan farm managers. The programme will be arranged in February 2025 in Estonia and Latvia. In Bukhara the seminar with local farmers was arranged, where the BreedExpo2 delegation introduced the animal husbandry sector and future cooperation opportunities with breeding sector of Estonia, Latvia and Finland.
