EASWork phase one
Hey everyone,
It’s time for an update on the exciting developments within the EASWork project! Over the past six months, since kicking off in October, we’ve been hard at work laying the groundwork for some impactful initiatives. Here’s a quick rundown of what we’ve accomplished so far and what lies ahead:
Phase One Milestones:
- Desk Research & Literature Review: We started by digging deep into the existing knowledge landscape surrounding the obstacles immigrants and refugees face when trying to enter the work force.
- Interview Framework Development: Crafting a robust framework was essential for gathering insights from immigrants and refugees. We meticulously designed our approach to ensure comprehensive data collection.
- Interviews Conducted: Engaging with stakeholders is at the heart of our project. We’re thrilled to share that we’ve conducted close to 50 interviews, each lasting an hour or more to conduct, gathering invaluable perspectives and insights.
Kick-off Meeting in Helsinki: In October, we had the privilege of meeting face-to-face in Helsinki for our kick-off day. This provided a fantastic opportunity to set the tone for collaboration and lay out our strategic vision.
Ongoing Collaboration: Despite geographical barriers, we’ve maintained a steady rhythm of collaboration through bi-monthly online meetings. These sessions have been very important in keeping all stakeholders aligned and informed.
Steering Group Meeting: Our project reached a significant milestone with the Steering Group Meeting held in Helsinki this February. The gathering was marked by insightful discussions and strategic planning, propelling us further towards our goals.
Entering Phase Two: Now, as we move into the second phase of the project, we’re gearing up to work directly with companies. This marks a pivotal moment as we move from planning to action, leveraging our research and insights to drive tangible impact on the ground.
Collaboration remains key, and we’re excited to continue working closely with our partners and stakeholders to realise our shared vision.
Stay tuned for more updates as we journey towards our goals together!
